My Mystery Girl Prologue

I look back at the crowd, the sensation running through me. The feeling of adrenaline and the nerves were all rushing through me. They are chanting our name. All of ours names.
        "One Direction! One Direction!"
        Some are even shouting our individual names. Some loved Louis, some Niall, some Zayn. But most of all, everyone loves Harry.
        I know some people like me too. Sometimes it just seems like everyone wants Harry or Zayn. Everyone wanted Louis and Nialler to have more solos. It never seems to be me.
        Shaking off the feeling of doubt, I step into the spot light once more into the eyes of my adoring fans. I can't help but smile. There is something different about today. Maybe it is the sun shining on our faces. Or maybe it is because this day will be a day I will never forget.

As we walk to the center of the stage, we all turn around as we do every time we sing this song. The song that got us famous. The music starts. I start the count and then I turn around and sing.
"You're insecure. Don't know what for. You're turning heads when you walk through the do-o-or. Don't need makeup, to cover up. Being the way that you are is eno-o-ough." I can't help but smile here. It is such a blessing to be able to tell millions of girls that they are beautiful even if they don't realize it.
        We finish the song. During my solo in 'One Thing', I walk up to the front of the stage and that's when I see her. She is just standing there singing along with me. Looking at me. Her gorgeous auburn hair gently blowing across her face in the breeze. I freeze. I can't move. There is a loud sound coming through the speakers and I realize I dropped my microphone. The boys sing on though. They couldn't stop the show just because I screw up. I know I need to get it together. But this girl…I can't stop looking at her.
        And she notices. She blushes and turns her head away for a second and then looks back at me and waves. I give her my winning smile and she starts to giggle. I'm close enough to see every feature of her. The freckles on her face bringing out her beautiful green eyes. I normally like blue eyes on a girl but these eyes….they take my breath away. She is slim too. Somewhat short. But she seems perfect to me. She is even wearing a purple shirt with my name on it. Wait. My name? She is a fan of me and not one of the other lads.
        She bites her bottom lip while trying not to smile. This makes me laugh. She is adorable. Her curly hair was in a messy braid down one side and it is still flying in her face.
        Suddenly, I can hear the song that we are singing.
        "And I need that one thing 'cos you've got that one thing." I sing this to this girl. This mystery girl.
        We sing the chorus of 'One Thing' and I feel myself walking over to the girl. My hand comes into my vision. I'm reaching for her. She shyly takes my hand in hers and oh! The electric shock that goes through my body!
        I'm still singing as I lead her onto the stage.
        The boys look at me funny but they continue the song.
        I never let go of the girls hand. So soft and delicate.
        "Thanks everyone for coming out tonight!" Niall says after we finish our song. "We are going to take a short break and then we'll come back out and sing a few more songs for you." The girls are screaming. The boys run behind stage and the girl starts to turn towards her seat.
        "Wait!" I have to yell over the screaming girls in the seats out before us. She turns toward me and looks and me.
        "Don't leave." I whisper in her ear. She blushes and nods and I take her with me backstage.
